Drummers and Drum Kits
Rock world or the jazz world is an exclusive place to find a good drummer. There are many bands which had come and gone, taking with them their drummers, but few of them remain in the memories of the people. Drummers like Keith Moon, Jon Bonham, Neil Pert, Lars Ulrich and few others are still idolized by their fans. They are a excellent class by themselves. Each is different from the other, whether it is the drumming style or the drum kits they use.
Let us begin with Keith Moon. He was born in23rd August 1946 and died on 7th September 1978. He lived a short period of life because of his alcoholism and acute odd behaviour. He is still famous. Some of his followers also named him as ‘Mad Moon’. He was renowned for his innovativeness and was a dramatic drummer. In 1964 Keith joined ‘The Who’ band. He was a very fast drummer, a singer and also a composer. He used to play faster and sound, but with authority. He used explosives and fireworks in his stage shows.. He was so peculiar that he has broken many drums and perhaps his hobby was to blow up toilets.

In the 17th century, in preparation for battle, before the head on clash between rival armies, considerable time was spent manouvering men into position.
The drums were used to convey orders – each ‘beat’ having a specific meaning instantly recognisable to the soldiers.

Also if you don’t regularly tune your drum heads, you will find that they will be more susceptible to damage and you are going to have to buy new drum heads alot faster than necessary.
